Baron Baden-Powell, of Gilwell in the County of Essex, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. It was created in 1929 for the military commander Lieutenant-General Sir Robert Baden-Powell, 1st Baronet, hero of the Siege of Mafeking and founder of the international Scouting movement. He had already been created a baronet, of Bentley, in the Baronetage of the United Kingdom on 4 December 1922. , the titles are held by his grandson, the third Baron, who succeeded his father in 1962.〔Kidd, Charles, Williamson, David (editors).
